Graphic 45- Vertical Organizational Station- Done!

Good Morning Everyone!

Please join me over at Graphic 45's Blog to see my Vertical Organization Station!  This project was so much fun to make, I made two!! One is done in my favorite of all favorite papers, Graphic 45's Olde Curiosity Shoppe and another beautiful collection, G45's Little Darlings!

A vertical organization center complete with containers, note holders, and even a bulletin board!

Handy containers to hold pens, pencils, rulers, pads, etc.

The bulletin board with the mini brads used to decorate the push pins.

Little Darlings Version

A picture frame for your little darling!

A place to hold brushes, creams, lotions and such for baby.

A little removable waste can or maybe to hold diapers!

Project...A Memorial Day Card-Done!

Good Afternoon Everybody!

I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend and getting some things done or just plain old relaxin' and taking a nap!  Both have been happening over at my house!  Well, napping not so much!  Maybe tonight, around midnight!!

As promised, I've just finished, A Memorial Day Card project.  This card can be made to honor the heroic men and women that have fallen to give us our freedom.  The card can be placed in a 6 x 6 invitation sized envelope.

Cleaning House!

Good Afternoon All!

Been busy as a beaver!  Three days off...You just got to love that!  With time, there is so much you can finally get done!  Not that I'm done, but getting close!  

I took some time today to work on the blog.  Actually, I took some time to figure out how things work on my blog!  LOL!  I have received many emails asking where certain tutorials were on my blog and I have partly solved that problem.  Next holiday maybe I can finish solving the problem!  :)  Each time I finish a project and post it, you may see "DONE!" after it.  I'll reveal my secret...LOL!  wooow big secret...:)This is so I can find the projects in the search box as it list everything with Done in the title.  I still have to weed through them to get to the one I want but it helps.

But here's the good news, it gets a little better....kinda...If you look at the top of the page, just under the banner, there are several buttons you can push to go to Home, Archive, Profile, etc.  Next to the Subscribe button I added a button for Tutorials, which will take you to all the tutorials I have done.  Unfortunately, at the moment, you will still need to scroll through all of them to find what you are looking for.  I'll be working on how to make that even easier soon.  I'm convinced that there is some kind of index on Typepad.  Just haven't gotten to that chapter yet!  :)  

I've also added buttons for Graphic 45 and Videos.   In the future, when I blog, if it pertains to any of these things it will go into that category.  It will still show up as a post on the home page when I blog it, but for historic value it will be filed into these categories.

Hope this helps us all and makes it somewhat easier to navigate...

And Yes, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth LOL!  It's deadline time again and as always I work to the deadline!  Go figure!  I will post some of the things I have been working on tonight or tomorrow.

Fast and Easy Done! Thanks Dad Metal Mini

Good Morning Everybody!

As promised this weeks Fast and Easy!  A fun project to thank Dad for all he does!  I know how busy we can all be and this little thank you can be done in little over an hour.

Here's how I did it...

 

Materials:
Graphic 45's ABC Primer Paper Stack
2 -G45 Door plates
2 -ring binders
Sizzix/Tim Holtz Gear Die
Idea-ology  Sprocket Gears
Idea-ology Hitch Posts
Idea-ology Alpha Cards D-A-D
idea-ology Adornments Regal (Crown)
Assorted nuts and washers
Elastic Hair Scrunchy (Dollar Store)

 

Step1:

With an awl, slightly enlarge the holes on the Graphic 45 Door Plates.  Not alot, just enough to help the metal rings slide through the Door Plates smoothly.

 

Step 2:

Cut the front, back and inside cover papers to 1 x 6-1/4 and adhere to Graphic 45 Door Plates.

 

Step 3:

Cut six 1-1/2 x 11- 3/4 pieces of Kraft cardstock.  Score at 6" leaving a 1/2-inch tab on the left side. Fold.  Punch two 1/8 holes on the left tab side.  Use one of the door plates for a template for hole placement.   Apply four 1-1/4 x 5 inch mats to all six pieces.

 

Step 4:

Cut six 1x 2-1/2 inch pieces for the top tabs.  Score in half on the long side creating a 1 x 1-1/4 inch tab.  Use a decorative corner punch and punch the left and right top of each side. Stamp the letters, T-H-A-N-K-S and apply to top of each of the six pages.

 

Step 5:

Insert the binding rings through the door plates and pages.  I added washers and nut to the rings. 

That's it...

 

If you want a closure, I used two Idea-ology hitch posts into the open holes on the end.  I then placed washers on brads and inserted them into the holes on the backside trapping the elastic hair scrunchie under the washers.  Bend the brads legs down tightly.  The scrunchie is then brought around to the front and then on the hitchposts for the closure.

 

As far as embellishment, I used several Idea-ology pieces and a Graphic 45 hinge on the front.  I distressed the Idea-ology Alpha Cards to the letter's D-A-D and applied to the front.  Voila! A metal mini to place 24 quotes or hand written thanks for dad!

LOOK!! I Got Mail!! NEW Graphic 45 Releases!!

Hey Gang!  Check this out!!

I received my DT box with the new releases in the mail from Graphic 45 today!  AHHHHHH! YAhoOOo!  Yes, Happy Haunting and A Ladies Diary!   Y'all these are simply the most beautiful papers ever!  Can't wait to play with them!  Can't wait for us all to play with them!!

I know G45 gave y'all preview pictures of them, but I thought I would share my box opening with you!  And when I say opening...I rip into this sucker!  LOL!  Hope you enjoy!

Miscellaneous Stuff, I don't know why!

Good Morning!

Today I give you some oddities from my casa (house)!  Why?  I have no idea, maybe a filler until tomorrows Fast and Easy Project...Yeah, that may be why.  LOL!

Graphic 45 Kraft Reflections Travel Journal-Done!

Good Morning Everyone!  Hope your week is off to a great start!

Please join me over at the Graphic 45 Blog to view my first project and tutorial for May!  This fast and easy project was made for my friends Marsha and Gene for their trip to Paris in April.  OK, OK, I made it the night before they left!  Nothing like waiting until the last minute!
