Running this Morning...

No, not running in like excercise, God forbid...Running out the door to meet a group of my work buddies to attend the Junior League of Austin's, A Christmas Affair.  (It's a huge shopping event where retailers gather in one place to sell their wares.)  Yep, skipping work for a little retail therapy.  Ooops, does this go out to everybody?  Well, just in case, It's a team building excercise! 

The holidays for me are kicked off by this annual event.  Talk about a feast for the eyes!  Really it's so cool to be able to pretty much purchase all my Christmas presents in one place! 

I have received so many emails asking about how Mr. Roboto was constructed, so tonight I will post Mr. Roboto Unplugged...

Inspiration...

Gosh!  I'm still reeling from everyones incredibly kind words!  Simply amazing!  Thanks to you all again!!  To my new blog followers thanks for following and please bear with me as I learn the craft of blogging!  Thank God this thing has spell check!

Inspiration...

When I emailed Tim Holtz about Mr. Roboto, I told him that as a man in the scrapbook section of a craft store, I would do the duck and cover while murmmering something  like..."I wish she would come get this herself," as someone passed the aisle!  LOL!!   The added..."we dont see many men in here," didn't help too much either!  However, Tim has changed that for me personally.  He is my inspiration!  Men can craft and why wouldn't they!   Now, as a wanna be paper crafter, I walk down the aisle and strike up conversations about Prima's new Ingvild Bolme craft knife Kathy Orta uses over at Paper Phenomenon to anyone who will listen!  I must confess, I do get this evil kick out of watching folks faces look in astonishment when I lay on the scrapbook lingo!  Is that bad?  Hahaha!  Now, that I kinda have that under my belt, I will be working on, through intense therapy of course, the issues of having every stinkin' tool I own made in the most beautiful shade of PINK!!!  Maybe I will pick up spitting!

Here is the Enchanted Castle designed by Laura Denison.  There could be so many cool possibilities for this. I have a cool idea that I will start work on this weekend to make this Haunted Castle a Cool Christmas Castle! No, not Gingerbread Folks!
