Just a bit about my day yesterday…
…Had an excellent time with my bud's at the event yesterday! My feet were killing me and my hands have blisters on them from carrying everyone’s bags! The thought did cross my mind at some point, that maybe, this is the reason I'm invited to tag along every year! Hmmmm.! However, just being with them brings me great joy and if that means I’m the camel boy, then so be it!
I think, no, I know, that there is this magical thing that happens between friends when shopping together. You start listening to them in a way you never did before. Like… Don’t even look at the price tag, you gotta have that! Or…It’s perfectly ok to get a second mortgage on your house to pay for this! This foreign way of thinking is somehow instantly understood and there is no longer a need to justify the purchase! Case in point…these awesome ornaments from artist, Debbee Thibault …Totally in love!
There are three joys in my life…One, I love to do anything with my hands. Two, I love to be busy. Three…Christmas. I LOVE Christmas and the holidays! I am known in my circle as Mr. Christmas. (I hope not because of my belly!!) I’m one of those strange and crazy people who actually love and enjoy pulling out the hoards of garlands, wreaths, trees, Santa’s and ornaments!
It's Friday and that means the weekend is coming up, so I will be in the studio! Can't wait! If you all have any suggestions of what you would like to see, give me a shout.
Have a Great Weekend!
Jim

Good Morning from beautiful Vancouver BC, where the snow has hit the hills, and the skiing has started and jingling of Christmas has started. I am so lucky I inherited my Grans Victorian Christmas ornaments and some very special wooden ornaments from Austria that my father brought back from the war years when he was in hospital with typhoid at Christmas time. He was with the army and was reported missing. I also have a very special one my son widdled a rocking horse with a pen knife he was only 8 years old. He has given me a ornament every year and he is nearly 40 and everyone means so much but not so much as the little rocking horse When I put my ornaments on my tree I put them on one by one as each is a memory of children, family and friend, some still here and gone. That is what Christmas is about Memories. I love all your ornaments that would be another tree. I once had a larger house and would put up 7 years with different themes. I even had a whole tree of Mickey D as my kids all worked for them, thats gone of to one of the kids....Enjoy hunting and has Robot found a Ms Robot yet with the pink apron with frilly gears. Celia
