Good Morning Everybody!
Grab a pencil, pen, crayon, lipstick...I wanted to share an important date. On Monday, May 7th Graphic 45 will do an introduction for Jane Tregenza and myself on the Graphic 45 blog! So cool!
I believe they will show my audition video, so watch out folks! It ain't pretty! I emailed them last night and begged them not to so, we shall see! Just thinking back to that very eventful day makes me snicker a bit!
I worked to the very last minute on the Obelisk! The two other projects were done. I couldn't stand the drawers and at the last minute did one of my famous complete rehauls of the three drawers! It just wasn't right! An hours worth of work that could have been spent trying to cover up the bald spot on my head! I was going to be on tape! So this was very important! :) This was the very first video, well the second, I still have the first (3 hour video on making an explosion box in the private vault!)I had done and used a flip camera in HD. (The HD part was to be the whole hang up for the night!) OK, not being used to the camera, I took, well, maybe about 40 takes of me going through the finalist projects! FOURTY! Count 'em! Take 40 shoots times 10 to 11 minutes each and what do you have? Yep, let's just say it was a late night! I finally threw in the towel and said my favorite chant, "It is what it is!" That's when the real fun began!
The deadline was looming and I started to upload the video to YouTube! Now you heard me say about a million times that my internet service is...well it stinks! I remember at one point it said 756 minutes until complete! I'm totally serious! 756 minutes! At midnight, my brain doesn't even know how to calculate what 756 minutes is. I just knew it was TOOOO long! I lost my loops y'all, I was running around with the tin foil tied to my head trying to send a better signal to the computer! After 45 minutes of this foolishness, I called my friend in the middle of the night, woke she and husband up and drove 30 minutes to use her "speedy "internet connection! Did I say my friend takes Ambian to help coax her into slumberland? That was a trip!! That meant there were three fruit loops trying to upload this video! Hahaha! It was a mess! So by 2 a.m. it was done! So when I say this video "ain't pretty" it really isn't! I'm just so thankful that G45 was kind enough to see something in that video that allowed me to have the coolest opportunity around! The G45 Design team!
Long story huh? Just to say...Visit the Graphic 45 blog and meet the new DT members as they are introduced starting next week! They are the coolest folks!
Thanks for Looking!
