Just an update on both the watch case and the road trip...
For the case to stay closed while carrying it, I've added a latch at the top and four of die cuts from Tim Holtz Hardware Findings die. I enlarged the hole on the die cut to allow a hinge post to go through it. Then I measured an inch from each end and applied the die cuts with brads. See picture below. Now to make a handle...
Road trip info..
Driving now from Goliad to Tivoli, Tx. Things are starting to look very flat. You can see off for miles.
The pictures below are of the Mission Nuestra Senora del Espiritu Santo de Zuniga. The other is the Presidio La Bahia.

That's a cool luggage there! I bet you're excited to have it stamped from your trips, transcontinental or otherwise. Can't wait to see how you will manage the handle on that one.
